From Crisis to Creation: My Journey Through Digital and Communication with 10+ Years of Experience

There are moments that redefine a life. For me, it was an illness. It forced me to ask deep questions: What’s the value of education if time is no longer a luxury? What career should one choose when every day matters? Should we follow trends or listen to our passion?

Instead of giving in, I chose to learn. Without a degree but with an insatiable thirst, I explored music, design, web, and digital marketing. I published my creations online, unaware that these simple posts would open a door: my first job as a designer in a Tunisian production company. But one question obsessed me: how do my creations truly impact clients?

Curious to understand the power of communication, I evolved—first as a communication officer for a tour operator, then as an international freelance consultant. Social media was no longer just a broadcasting tool; it became a transformational lever for businesses. My involvement in non-profits also gave me a new perspective: digital can add meaning to action.

 

During this time (2014-2015), I made a key decision: to resume my studies while working. I wanted to structure my knowledge, refine my logic, and better understand market mechanisms. Beyond practical skills, education provides methodology and a framework for decision-making and project management.

Two international missions later, I became Head of Communication in a multinational institution, navigating creation, team management, and public relations. Then came a bigger challenge: leading an agency as a Board Director.

It was a baptism by fire. I faced the complexities of digital: unpredictable algorithms, multicultural campaigns, real-time data analysis. But I learned one crucial lesson: creativity cannot be industrialized. Working eight hours a day on ten different projects kills innovation.

In 2019, I left everything behind to return to what truly matters: quality over quantity.

Today, as a Communication and Digital Marketing Manager in a well-known organization, I combine strategy with purpose. I teach master’s students, support public institutions and NGOs as a communication and marketing expert.
